Spirulina is a uni-cellular microalga that is green in colour with a blue tint. It is a natural superfood that is highly concentrated in natural vitamins, nutrients and phytonutrients.
Does spirulina contain antioxidants?
Yes, spirulina contains a large amount of antioxidants. It contains antioxidants such as beta carotene and also a large amount of the powerful antioxidant C-Phycocyanin. Antioxidants help inhibit the damage caused by free radicals in the body.
How much spirulina should I take?
The recommended daily intake is six (6) tablets per day. For further guidance you should seek the advice of a medical practitioner.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, it is a microalga that absorbs energy from the sun (photosynthesis) like plants and absorbs nutrients from water.
